Olivia Werblin
Creative Director
Olivia Werblin is an 18-year-old senior at Credo High School in Rohnert Park, California. She started her activism at age 14 years when she founded the GEM (Gender Equality Movement) Club at her school. Its purpose was to help bring awareness to the reality of our social norms. At the end of her freshman year, she became a National Geographic Expeditions intern and was sent to Wyoming alongside with other young people, where she used photography to bring awareness to the nearly extinct Pica species. This was the first time Olivia had personally witnessed the impacts of anthropogenic environmental damage. Her eyes were opened again in 2017 when fires hit her Sonoma County community and she was evacuated from her house.
During this time, she worked as a firefighter volunteer (CERT/ search and rescue). One year later she began working for Schools for Climate Action. In March 2019, she traveled with other young activists to Washington, DC, to meet with members of Congress and advocate for climate action. Olivia now serves as the Creative Director of the National Children’s Campaign, in addition to her positions as Assistant Chairman of Earth Care, a One Planet Captain, a Schools for Climate Action volunteer, and a Vida Refugio Reserve ambassador.
