Kimberly Gutzler
President & Co-Founder
Kimberly Gutzler has a passion for working on behalf of America’s children and youth. She has devoted her life to uplifting and being a voice for those often unrepresented and voiceless… America’s youngest citizens. She has spent her career working for nonprofits and in government relations. Early on, with both academic and research credentials in child development, she gained firsthand experience with the confluence of practice and policy while working with children living in group homes in the custody of the state.
These experiences and a strong commitment to community service and leadership development led her to embark on a career in child advocacy and politics, raising awareness and money for the people and causes she believes do the most for America’s children and families. She has raised money for numerous congressional and Presidential candidates as well as organizations that prioritize children.
Kimberly organized and led the “Kids for a Stronger America” Bus Tour which brought six twelve-year-olds through battleground states to campaign for America’s children and families. Most recently, she organized the Youth & Educator Climate Advocacy Summit which was co-sponsored by Schools for Climate Action and Young Voices for the Planet that brought hundreds of students to Capitol Hill in DC over 3 days for an advocacy training, and convened a press conference, a bipartisan panel of Members of Congress, and a nonpartisan panel of national climate and children’s welfare experts, youth advocates, and educators designed to help Congress better understand the impact of their climate choices on American schools and youth. Congress was called on to work together to enact commonsense climate policies to help protect students and future generations from climate harm. The youth and educators let Congress know that they can help create a more sustainable, healthy, prosperous, and just future for all Americans. Climate resolutions were hand-delivered to every member of congress and over 60 meetings with Congressional members and their staff took place in both the House and Senate.
Over the years she worked for such organizations such as the YMCA, Voices for Virginia’s Children and Young Voices for the Planet to address the needs of our youngest citizens. Kimberly’s goal is to do the most good for our children, our planet and humanity.
Kimberly lives outside of Washington, D.C. and spends much of her free time on her farm in Luray, VA cooking, gardening and entertaining.
